After nearly 15 hours of flying we finally arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport and immediately set off to New York City to see a Big East Conference match up between the St. John´s Redstorm and the Syracuse Orangeman at the Mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden. With over ten thousand fans at the game, our kids were able to see first hand the passion that surrounds basketball in the United States. To all of us, who live in Europe, its unthinkable how a game held on a Tuesday evening and with the weather conditions being as cold as they were could attract so many fans.
After the game the players and staff were treated to a New York specialty: PIZZA!
After devouring our pizza´s at Menotti’s we headed to our hotel to get some well needed rest.
